My name is Giurgea Marius Adrian and I teach technological education and computer science. My hobbies are computers, traveling, music, sports. I think this project is important because it focuses on the negative effects of prejudices in education. I hope that activities within this project will increase the awareness and remove barriers created by prejudice.
See you in Slovenia,

Hi! My name is Xenia Lombardi and I’m 14 years old. I have a brother. His name is Romeo and we are both participating in this project and I hope that we’ll make many friends. In my free time I enjoy painting and listening to music. I also love reading adventure and science-fiction books. I like outdoor activities and playing basketball with my friends. My favorite school subject is math. I can’t wait to see you all!
My name is Ioana Paraschiv but everyone calls me Oana and I am 13 years old . I live in Măcin , a little town . I am a person who has no patience , sometimes I am annoying and I got attached too fast .
I have a big family, I mean me, mom, dad and my sister. My sister is four years old and sometimes we don"t really like each other. 3 years ago I really wanted a sister or a brother. We have our "cute sister moments". I really love my parents. Maybe all the parents are the same, but my parents are special.
This project gives me the opportunity to speak English more. English is my favourite subject at school but on the whole I am a good student. I love discovering new places, meeting new people and doing different things. When my English teacher told that I will be a part of the project I was so so so happy.
I am sure that this project will be an unforgettable experience within I will learn about other cultures that sounds quite interesting!
see you soon, Oana

My name is Geru Ştefan. I'm 14 years old. I have a sister, a little brother and my parents are very kind. I like talking to my friends about different issues and I like playing football. I want to take part in this project because I really want to involve as much as possible in different activities about prejudices and how we can stop break all these barriers and to meet new people and communicate with everyone in English. . My hobby is to play football and also I like to play videogames.
My name is Babă Lenuța and I live in măcin , a small town on the River Danube. I teach at the primary level.
I love working with children, to spend as much time among them. I also like listening to music, reading, traveling and cooking. I like music and dancing especially folklore.
By participating in this project I want to make a small contribution to the eradication of prejudices that exist in human society. Each of us has infinite potential that must stimulate from the earliest age. We must look beyond appearances and to find beauty in every situation, no matter how unpleasant it may seem at first. The blurring of the differences between people with different backgrounds and cultures can flourish and children to freedom without bias or constraint. Children can make a multicultural journey, full of enthusiasm and curiosity.
The project theme "Let's break the barriers -Without prejudice" is well chosen because children are the target of prejudices. "The most powerful weapon" in the fight against prejudice is education. A proper education can reveal the causes of prejudices, help us to examine our way of thinking and react wisely

Hi! My name is Andrada and I’m 12 years old and I’m in sixth grade. Until now, I was a little bit shy to say what I think, but I am not that person anymore. I am a person who likes challenges to have much more fun, because life sometimes gets a little bit boring. I like to make changes in terms of how I look, every time I could. What am I doing with my free time? Well, 24/24 hours I’m singing, I never stop, as well I dance every time I’m inspired by someone or something, in week-end I am reading a book. For example, now I am reading “Star Child”.
There’s not much to say about my family. It’s just me and my parents, but I want a brother or sister. My mom is calling Virginica, and she’s working as shop assistant and my father is calling Marcel, and he’s working as teacher.
What expectations do I have from this project? I expect to star friendships with children, to learn about their habits, to speak a little bit their language, but most important to know about their future life, what they can do or not in the life with day by day, to learn about their religion and country of origin.
You can find me on:

My mother's name is Catalina and she is a teacher. My father's name is Anastase and he is a bartender. I was born in Italy (Bussolengo/ Vr), but now I’m living in Romania, Tulcea County – Cerna village. I am a student at school "Gheorghe Banea", Macin.
My hobby is music and dance. I can sing and I also play the instruments. I can play the organ and the guitar. They are my life and I spent a lot of my free time practising and learning..
In this project I want to make new friends, learn new things and make new memories.

My name is Doru Oprescu Naris, and I am a physics teacher and astronomy. I am also the headmaster of the "Gheorghe Banea" Secondary School. I am passionate about history, heraldry, religion and astronomy of course. I own an impressive collection of journals, The History Magazine since 1967 until now.
However, I have been teaching Physics for over 25 years, and by teaching physics I tried to convey to children a different perspective on the world through the prism of science and not prejudices. Actually it does not matter color, religion, ethnicity, physical appearance, as long as the surrounding world is the same for everyone.
I wish to have an exchange of good experience, giving the children freedom of thought and action.

Hello! My name is Elena Santalucia, I’m 45 and I teach Literature and History.
I like very much reading and listening to rock music, but my favourite hobbies are drama and movies of 40’s and 50’s! I live in a small town on the Adriatic sea, that’s why I love swimming and walking on the beach.
I’m so pleased to share the project “Break barriers – no prejudices” because I think nowadays it’s very important that students can meet boys and girls of other countries, sharing their own culture and experiences in English.
See you soon, bye!

Hello! I am Marija Helena Logar and I am Slovene and Latine language teacher. I also teach optional lesson School Journalism. I like being a part of pedagogic activities that include a plenty of crosscurricular themes, aims and skills. In my opinion, that is fundamental for development of both of us – teachers and pupils. Our life is similar to unique colorful bouquet which consists of different flowers. Different ways of thinking, (re)acting and living create unique integrity of life, however. If we want to live in mutual harmony we have to get to know each other well and overcome barriers with empathy – without prejudices. That is the reason why our project represents a challenge for me.
I am glad to see all of you in Slovenia! |

Man of many professions, recently a carpenter, a handyman, a trumpet player in a cabaret-musical show and of course, an university student (funny, at that age). I'm not a teacher by education, I rather crafted my teaching skills in the hard school of life. My favorite hobby is washing the dishes and cleaning the house, I also enjoy glueing broken mugs...I like to repair broken gadgets and bycicles too. Looking forward to see you all, guys!
